An Elegant & Stylish Christian Wedding At St Patrick's Church, Bengaluru
Vanessa, our beautiful bride plans everything ahead of time and thats validated by the fact that she had booked us over a year in advance and had her entire wedding planned. The moment we met Vanessa & Vivian, we knew that their wedding is going to be a lovely one. Their love for each other, is beautiful and infectious.
Bridal couple Vanessa and Vivian's love story began in church, where they would attend the Sunday service with their families, each week. A Facebook friendship request later from Vivian, Vanessa plucked up the courage and asked him out. He said "yes", and the rest, as they say, is history. When we first met the bridal couple, what popped out was their love that was so infectious. As we discovered, later, it was a treat to capture it in photographs.
Let's Get To The Church On Time
The wedding venue was the Regal St Patrick's Church in Bengaluru. One of the oldest churches in Bengaluru, St Patrick's was built in 1844. With its impressive Baroque architecture, it served as the perfect venue for the couple to exchange their vows, and be united as one.
The day began with the stunning bride Vanessa and her bridesmaids, getting ready together, while the strapping groom Vivian, got ready along with his groomsmen. The happy occasion was made merrier with popped champagne, lots of laughter and camaraderie between friends. The bride had absolute fun as she posed with her tiara and her bridesmaids, with flowers in their hair, all in dressing gowns.
Once the bridal couple were ready at their respective venues, what followed was an emotional scene, as their elders offered each of them their blessings. As this part of the day concluded, the bridal couple set out for the church.
A Little Wedding Humour
Both the bride and groom arrived in vintage cars, along with the bridesmaids and groomsmen.
The bride looked absolutely stunning in a sweeping white lace gown with a mermaid-style trail, as she stepped out of the vehicle. The groom looked dapper in a suit with contemporary checks.
A cute moment was when the bride’s sister covered Vivian's eyes to stop him from laying eyes on his beautiful bride before the wedding.
Exchanging Wedding Vows
St Patrick's church, with its elegant bridal decor and solemn mood, was a Christian wedding photographers' delight.
Our favourite detail from the wedding was the full-aisle runner in the church, which Vanessa had hand-painted with a touching note, which said:
"Dada, Of all the walks we have had,
this is my favourite. Vanu.”
The groom took his place at the altar. And in an emotional moment, Vanessa's dad walked her down the aisle, and placed her hand in Vivian's, before he took a seat in the pews.
The bridal couple exchanged rings and lit a candle to commemorate the occasion. This moment of the ceremony was a joy to capture on film.
Celebrating The Union
As the emotional church service concluded, it was time to head to the reception venue. The bridal couple left the church in a vintage car.
As the guests gathered at the reception, the bridal couple made a grand entry with the bridal entourage, close behind them. This was followed by the wedding march, father-daughter dance, the cake-cutting and an emotional toast.
The dance floor was soon filled up with guests, grooving to the music, and making it a lively evening of good music, laughter and love. Our favourite parts of the wedding were the shoots with the couple, whose love and laughter was so effortless in front of the camera.
