Chandni & Sebastian’s Love Story

Their love story began in the early days of 2020 during the first Covid wave in Shanghai. Meeting through a dating app, their first date at Ocean Grounds, Chandni’s favorite coffee shop, was filled with deep conversations and an instant connection. Overcoming challenges and supporting each other through difficult times, their bond grew stronger, leading to a proposal and the dream of building a life together.

Chandni and Sebastian’s love story began with an instant connection over coffee on their first date. Their unwavering support for each other during challenging times in China and Germany strengthened their bond. Together, they overcame the craziness of relocating and building a new life in Germany, solidifying their relationship and future together. Their journey together is a beautiful blend of patience, quick thinking, sharpness, and immense care for others.

As we reflect on these two beautiful ceremonies at The Park, Visakhapatnam, and The Leela Kovalam, a Raviz Hotel, we are reminded of the power of love and the beauty of cultural fusion. Capturing these moments for Chandni and Sebastian was a privilege, and we hope their love story inspires others to embrace the beauty of different traditions and the strength of togetherness.

Reshma Ramaiah & Brendan Rice's Engagement : A beautiful blend of traditions & emotions

In the heart of Bangalore, at Reshma’s family farmhouse, a celebration unfolded that was as unique as the love story it honored. Reshma and Brendan chose to celebrate their engagement with two enchanting ceremonies, each reflecting their cultural heritage and personal journey. Their story is a beautiful blend of traditions, emotions, and the joy of coming together as one.

A Journey Back to Roots: The Traditional Ceremony

On the first day, the farmhouse was transformed into "Ammamma’s House," a homage to the cherished memories Reshma shared about her grandparents' homes. The venue itself was a testament to authenticity and care, adorned with refurbished items from Reshma’s grandparents' homes. Pots, multi-step deepas, items from the God’s room, photo frames, and even a vintage telephone were carefully placed to recreate the essence of Ammamma’s house. For irreplaceable items, almost exact replicas were sourced, ensuring that each piece added to the nostalgic, home-like atmosphere.

The mandap was set between two majestic mango trees, reminiscent of Reshma’s ancestral home. Bridesmaids in color-coordinated sarees carried thalams (decorative plates) as Reshma and Brendan made their grand entrance, a scene rich with tradition and love. The couple and their families, dressed in traditional Indian attire, took part in rituals that symbolised their union and the blessings of their elders.

Ivory BLOOM: The Ring Exchange Ceremony

The following day, the celebration took on a different, yet equally enchanting theme. Inspired by the white roses Brendan used for his proposal, the venue was adorned with a sea of ivory blooms. Champagne drapes added a touch of sophistication, creating a serene and romantic setting for the ring exchange.

This day was marked by heartfelt speeches from both fathers, touching montages of childhood memories, and a whole lot of dancing. Emotions ran high as Reshma and Brendan exchanged rings in front of a stunning flower installation, a moment that symbolized the blending of their lives and cultures.

The festivities continued with laughter and tears of joy, culminating in a lively celebration. Reshma, surrounded by her bridesmaids, opened a bottle of champagne, marking the start of a night filled with dancing and partying. The couple’s happiness radiated, capturing the hearts of everyone present.

Documenting Love: A Privilege and Joy

For those who had the privilege to witness and document these moments, it was an experience filled with emotion and beauty. Reshma and Brendan’s engagement was more than just a ceremony; it was a testament to their journey together, the blending of their cultures, and the love that binds them.

Reshma, both a bride-to-be and a talented event planner with @reshandcoevents, orchestrated her engagement with meticulous care and creativity. Her vision brought to life a celebration that was deeply personal and beautifully executed, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

As we look back on the magical days of their engagement, we are reminded of the power of love to transcend boundaries and bring people together. Reshma and Brendan’s story is a beautiful example of how traditions can be honored and new memories created, weaving a story of love that is uniquely theirs.
